YMCA of Shanghai looks upon herself as a group that aims to promote the propagation of volunteer movement. We call on young people with different backgrounds to get together around YMCA in order to actualize our goal that “current volunteering paves the way to future leaders”. We regularly organize various activities for young members to learn from each other and to grasp the competences that an adult needs to survive in society, including communication skills, teamwork, and sense of responsibility. They also learn how to think critically, be inclusive, and listen closely to different opinions.
