Jul 17 to 22, eight young volunteers from YMCA of Shanghai attended regional YMCA conference to be held in Singapore. The event was hosted by Uni-Y Singapore with the support of APAY and YMCA of Singapore. It aimed to encourage the young participants to be confident in putting their leadership into practice and serving the community with their talents. About 300 young people attended from Bangladesh, India, Egypt, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, and Cambodia. Among them were also young people from, China Hong Kong, China Macau, and Chinese Taipei. The activities included meeting with Singapore President, keynote speech, workshop, community services, talent shows, cultural nights, leadership meetings and exploration to Singapore. An interactive platform was founded to promote delegates understanding and consolidate the network of Uni-Y’s.
