Feb. 11, Ms. Hua Bei, director of Municipal Administration for Religious and Ethnic Affairs, had a research visit to YMCA & YWCA of Shanghai. She was welcomed by presidents and general secretaries of YMCA & YWCA of Shanghai. She listened to the reports on the structure of the organization, economic income, social service, and social impact. The key point highlighted post-quake rebuilding at Dujiangyan, rehabilitation of children with autism, and recovery of people with mental health.
After listening to the reports, Ms. Hua Bei nodded her confirmation on the work we have done these years. Ms. Hua noted that our service covered a full range, and our function in socialized service was irreplaceable. She encouraged us to do more in return to society. We should stand up by solid service and she will do well in coordination in the light of the department in charge. The department and social organizations should be well interacted and inter-depended. As required by the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in the modernization of social governance, a social organization will continue to play its role, develop itself along the way of professionalism, create signature branding, do well in assessment, and, by the establishment of Hua'ai Charity Foundation, form a standardized organization in Shanghai. Finally she expressed her Spring Festival greetings to the presidents and the general secretaries. |
